To download Windows 10, use the official Media Creation Tool from the Microsoft website. The tool will help you create bootable installation media on a USB flash drive or as an ISO file for a DVD.
Before you begin
- Back up your data: Ensure all important files are backed up to an external drive or cloud service, as the process may erase your data, especially during a clean install.
- Check system requirements: Confirm that your PC meets the minimum requirements for Windows 10:
- Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster.
- RAM: 1 GB for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit (4-8 GB is recommended for better performance).
- Hard Disk Space: 16 GB for 32-bit or 20 GB for 64-bit (32 GB for new installs).
- Prepare installation media: You will need a blank USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of space or a blank DVD.
